The Alliance of Fuel Developing and Exporting States (AFDES) is a union of sovereign states that aims to increase economic and political cooperation between members, promote new forms of energy and other technological developments, coexist in a peaceful way with other states, and to explore frontiers in outer space.

AFDES is governed by the AFDES Charter which was ratified on May 21, 2009. There are also AFDES Resolutions, which compose the ordinary laws of the Alliance. AFDES is involved in many programs, including the AFDES Space Program, and is involved into research into Agonite fusion, a new type of nuclear fusion that can deliver over 40% more power than conventional fusion.

The Alliance is also involved in economic initiatives, including the AFDES Central Bank, which controls the AFDES Fund, a fund of voluntary donations used to finance projects of member states, and the opt-in AFDES currency, the Astrum. Each currency unit is redeemable for one-twentieth of one gram of gold, making it unique among major world currencies as the only one with a commodity backing, and thus a stable value.

AFDES has, in its short history, confronted many challenges, improved the economies of members, and has solidified an alliance between members in all areas: politically, economically, and socially.

• Camano is admitted as an Observer State.
• Destiny accedes to Member State status.
• Amendment II is passed at the Tenth AFDES Summit, limiting Amendment I's provisions to members sitting on the Board of Trustees of the AFDES Central Bank.
• Resolutions 7 and 8 are passed at the Tenth AFDES Summit. Resolution 7 establishes "Libertas, Imperium, Conjuratio" as the AFDES motto, and Resolution 8 changes the name of the AFDES Currency from AFD to Astrum.
• The Tenth AFDES Summit has gone into full swing as leaders discuss the growing threat of the NSF and a new transportation project aiming to replace painted stripes on roads with LED lights.
• The Nation of Follomer has now fully integrated it's states into one government, forming the Follomer Union.
• Resolution 6 is passed, authorizing the use of a new AFDES ensign for public releases.
• A firework mishap kills 5 and wounds 2 in Franklin County during the customary observance of Perihelion. The National Sovereignty Front claims responsibility.
